Today,Phee Eng & Fook Wah ,his brother & niece came to Pg.at about 2.30pm.16 of us accepted F.Wah's diner invitation at the Tanjung Club .We were disappointed when Teong Kooi ,his wife & Chui Han did not show up.
Those present were:Soon Liang & wife Annie,Ah Bee & Hubby Aru,Maureen Koo,Liew Sim,Rama,Poh Yuk,Jin Eng,Poh Geok,Phee Chye,Sui Loong & myself.
So there were 17 of us instead of the 20 expected.As a result there was some food left to 'Tar Pow' home.
The dinner started at 7.00pm & by the time we finished dining & chatting .it was past 10.00pm.So after thanking our gracious & generous host, we all took our leave.
Phee Chye & Poh Geok,as usual,were kind enough to fetch & bring me back home for all these functions.I'm really indebted to them.
This coming Sunday,April 1st,Fook Wah has once again invited us for a buffet lunch at Cititel. This time Kee Lee Chang from Batu Pahat,will be joining us.
However,Phee Chye,Poh Geok,Maureen & Liew Sim won't be free to join us on that day.
I heard from Phee Eng & Fook Wah that Chelva hosted a dinner for them & the other Kirkbyites when they were in Malacca.
It's really amazing how strong the Kirkby bond is even after 46 years.May it always be so until the end of time!
I'm sure you will all be sad to learn that our junior,,S.Easvaralingam(1960-1961) passed away at 2.00am 23 March.May his soul rest in peace.
Well to more cheerful news.We would like to congratulate Phee Eng on reaching the status of Grandpa as his daughter,Elaine, is now the proud mother of Colin Wong,born on March 20th.
We also rejoice with Louise on getting a new grand daughter,Ella
As it's already 1.15am I'll continue tomorrow night as I'll be taking FWah & Co. shopping in the morning.
