About
the visit of Joyce and other Kirkbyites
Dear Sau San
I hope you
and Sing are keeping in good health and that life is treating you both well.
It's quite some time since I emailed you, but I thought I would let you know
that Joyce with her husband and fellow Kirkbyites came for a visit today.
They only stayed for two hours as they have a very tight schedule to work to.
But I found them to be a very nice and enjoyable group of people and it was a
real pleasure to have met them. Rusty was impressed to. What more could
he ask for than seven more people to pet and play with him.
Yok Bee
was naturally delighted to meet up with her old chums after what, forty odd
years? She cooked them a huge dish of mee hoon which went down very well with
everyone, including me and Rusty. It had taken them three hours to get to us as
the traffic is really appalling these days, so I think they were more than glad
to have a bite to eat and a drink.
Otherwise
we are all keeping well. I have my ups and downs… but I must consider myself
very fortunate.
We had
our old sun lounge pulled down and a new one is being constructed. It's proving
to be a pain, what with delays and other problems, but the end is in sight and
hopefully another couple of weeks should see it all finish.
Hopefully
one day we shall see you and Sing sitting in it.
I hope
you are both getting plenty of table tennis and snorkeling in. Yok Bee is now a
member of three table tennis clubs, which together with her tennis, badminton,
swimming and occasionally running means I don't get to see much of her, it's a
good job I can cook.
Anyway I
would love to hear from you sometime. My regards to Sing. Take care of
yourselves.
Love Yok
Bee, Tony and Rusty.
