The Passing of Fatimah Deen
 
My Dear Kirkbyites, 
 
 I’m sorry to announce the passing of Fatimah Deen on Wednesday, 12 July 2006. 
She suffered a heart attack and was laid to rest on the same day.
 
 This sad news reached us on the day of the 2006 Kirkby Reunion. 
As we were happily getting ready to move on to Cameron Highlands 
after our lunch at the Ipoh Swimming Club, Salma Deen received this unexpected news. 
Salma opted out of the Reunion to make her way to Kuala Kangsar where Fatimah resided.
 
 Both Fatimah and Salma were Kirkbyites. They belonged to the 1958/59 batch.
