The 08
All Malacca residents in the OC did a great
job in making members feel welcomed with their great hospitality.
Members felt that the first meeting of
the OC was fruitful as all participants were very co-operative and
Malaccan Kirkbyites were knowledgeable and competent
in the areas assigned to them.
On behalf of the Chairman and members of
the Organising Committee, may I have the pleasure of
informing you that you have been
nominated and appointed as Area Representative for the area/state/country
specified under Item 2 below.

Notes:
I.
As there
are many Kirkbyites spread all over Australia, it was
felt that it would not be fair to Jim and Mimi Lee to be appointed as Area
Representatives for the whole continent. Hence, we have assigned them
II.
Where there is a need for an Assistant Area Representative, the
name of the nominee should be forwarded to the Chairman/Secretary for
confirmation.
III.
Any appointee who does not object to the Area Rep appointment is
deemed to have accepted it.
3. Work
of the Area Reps
3.1 Be
the contact person for Kirkbyites in his/her area
through email/snail-
mail/telephone.
3.2 Disseminate important information from

3.3 Help to register participants as a group,
if possible, to cut down on
administrative
work.
3.4 Collect payment and transfer group
payment directly to Treasurer, if
possible. This
will help to lighten the Treasurer’s workload.

Saturday, July 12, 2008.

5. Letter of Invitation with
General Information
5.1 The Secretary, in consultation with the
rest of the committee, will prepare the
letter.
5.2 Registration will only be confirmed for
Kirkbyites who signed up and paid for
the 3D2N package.
5.3 Draft of the above should be ready by
the 2nd Meeting of the Organising
Committee in July/August 07.
6. Datelines: Attendance & Payment
6.1 Confirmation of attendance by
participants will be December 31st 2007.
6.2 Last date for payment by participants
will be subject to the hotel’s
requirement for deposit.
The Organising
Committee will keep you informed of all important developments through your
email.
