Summary of the Sample Evaluation of the Kirkby Reunion taken at First World Hotel on 16th July 2006.

At the First World Hotel, in Gentings, the nature of the Kikbyites booking as a Conference Package required us to hold 2 meetings. Consequently an evaluation exercise of the reunion was constructed to use the conference room provided in a meaningful way. Only those attending the Extension to the Kirkby Reunion formed the sampling of this survey, the summary of which is now presented here.

Almost totally the respondents felt that the information provided before the Reunion and the registration process were highly commendable. It would appear that much enthusiasm was latent before the actual event but was translated to high excitement at the initial meeting at the Ipoh Swimming Club. Equatorial Hotel was highly favoured as a Reunion venue. Coral Bay Hotel did not measure up as highly with a few respondents gauging it to be below average as a Reunion venue. Excelsior Hotel and First World Hotel were definitely favourable.

Transport from venue to venue scored highly and so did the standard of food provided, the souvenir program, and quality of fellowship and time spent. Given all, the Reunion Package was marked extremely good value for money.

The Extension Program was highly rated. Most noted they would probably attend the next reunion. While they strongly endorsed the travelling tour in this Reunion, a significant few would prefer it to be held in one location. Opinion is definitely split when it comes to booking one’s own accommodation. On the ideal number of days for future reunions, 3 days stood out clearly. Most would love to visit Kirkby again.

The majority rated the overall experience at the Reunion as excellent and so did they similarly endorse the organisation.

Finally the remarks ascribed, praised the leadership of Cheah Phee Eng, Su Jee Hor and the support work of the Committee.
