1960-61 Batch Kirkbyites Golden Anniversary Reunion 15 - 17 June 2011

Greetings from Phee Eng, Sobri and me. Tomorrow is eve of Chinese New Year of the Rabbit. May we extend our best wishes to all our Chinese friends a very happy,healthy and prosperous CNY. 

Cheah Phee Eng, Sobri and I have made some enquiries on the possible venue for our 50th Anniversary Gathering. The initial decision for a 3D2N Cruise in Virgo from Singapore to Langkawi & back, made during our last day lunch meeting at the Penang Reunion last year among a dozen of us,  is deemed to be too costly,about RM1,800 per person. We agreed to abort the idea and decided on a 3D2N stay at Cameron Highlands.
Reasons: it's cool up there, quiet and serene, ideal environment to reminisce on old times at Kirkby.

Venue               : Hotel Rosa Passadena, Brinchang, Cameron Highlands
Open to            : 1960-61 yearmates + spouses (we intend to have a coach-load of 40 persons. so register early)
Cost per pax (twin sharing)  : RM350 ( inclusive of transportation, accommodation, full board - 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches,2 dinners and 2 afternoon teas, and visits to farms)

All to assemble/register at Ipoh Swimming Club at 11.00am and have lunch at 12.00noon on 15th June, and back to Ipoh (place to be determined later) on 17th at about 3.00pm. So overseas collegemates may make your flight bookings,etc. Those who want  to stay in Ipoh on 14th and 17th may contact Phee Eng who will help make  arrangement to stay in one of the hotels or at the Ipoh Swimming Club chalets at a very reasonable rate.
We will despatch  the registration form and the Itinerary to you as soon as we have finalised the details.

Remember this golden opportunity  comes only once in 50 years. The next auspicious occasion will be another 10 years later. We are not sure whether at the age of 80,  how many will still be mobile or healthy enough to walk, see and eat. So do make an attempt, especially those whom we have not seen for the last 1/2  century, to be present for this once a lifetime gathering. We assure you plenty of fun and fellowship. We want you to feel that you are part of this one big family.
